Ok disassembly is coming along. Rust is one thing but when I got the front suspension off I removed the steering and this came to my attention! The passenger side main rail is kinked in places and it seems pushed in. Now when the front came off there was no springing or movement. Is this a project killer? It can be fixed but before I attempt is I need measurements. Can any body send me measurements or the two front bumper holes, the cross over of the motor mount bolts and the inner edge of the frame rail where the transmission would be? Or is there a diagram out there for the M151? Take a look at the pics. Thanks Matt

Just so you know, the frame rails are not the same on both sides. It is offset to the passenger side if I remember correctly with one rail being pushed out further in front. It looks weird. The first picture looks like maybe a bend but it is covered in grime so can't tell. The rest of it looks normal. I could see in the original pictures that the front of the frame was bent down. Keep in mind that this is not a solid frame, it is a unibody piece which is several pieces of thin metal bent over each other and welded. Straightening it takes special skills if it is kinked.

Oh thank God "the frame rails are not the same on both sides". That was a huge relief Rick when you said that! I can handle the kinks and stuff and We will be using a unibody spot welder and hammer dolly to fix but that huge bend had me really worried! thanks Rick.
Re: A project Killer? Measurements requested.
If it were bent in an accident the lip on the bottom of the rail would be bent up at the bend. If it is flat along the bottom you are good. Don't mistake a ding for a bend.

Rick,
you are correct. but the kinks are in different places both on the bottom and top. I think though you are on a roll as the top ones may have been from dropping in new power packs and the lower ones from bottoming out when 4x4 in its past. I will measure if things square out I will start cutting within the next two weeks and blasting out the inside of the rails.
