My 67 151A1 has a bad output shaft bearing on the Transfer case, and I want to replace it. Does anyone have a part number for a civi replacement?
I know that the seals are not avaible due to size differences, so what should I use?
Thanks,
Chuck

Re: Bearings
Seals are of course available. There are 2 types. First the original diameter ones. Second the seals with slightly larger diameter to be used with wear sleeves. They typically come in sets, seals and sleeves. You will use the second type if the shaft surface is damaged/worn otherwise a new seal cannot seal against the old surface. The wear sleeves are pressed onto the shafts and as such provide a new, good surface for the seal to work with.
I don't think there is a civilian replacement for the bearing but I would ask the usual sources and they should have NOS.

Re: Bearings
Just about any of the surplus dealers will have the seals you need, they generally come as a kit with the wear sleeves and you do have to use the sleeves. As far as the bearing you will have to ask around the same surplus places, Red River and Rapco should have the bearings, Frontline is another possibility. Check our resources list for dealers.
I have not seen the original seals for use without the war sleeves for quite a while. I think they may still be available in Europe but not here.
