need a rebuildable head and block.

Unread post by matt506 » December 12th, 2017, 9:03 am

Anybody around the midwest have a usable head and short block for sale? My head was drilled out in some of the mount holes and one of the pistons has a valve hit on it. I am in the Milwaukee area. Better the deal the further I will travel. Looking for an early engine but at this point any will do. Thanks Matt.

Just a hint, the engines are all the same with the exception of the external bolt ons. The only difference is the late model head you will find on later A2 engines. This is something you want to get if you plan on driving it a lot.

If you need a piston and a head and a short block then you are better off just looking for a complete T/O motor.

I have several short blocks completely rebuilt. Some have 151 or A1 timing gear covers, some have A2 covers. All have been tested and are in shipping boxes. I'm in S. Florida. Price would depend on what you want on it.

I would be looking for a short block that I could use. Just hang manifolds and extras on. Could use vacuum hoses also. Shipping would be to 53021 but I think shipping would kill me.

Yep, that's me...I tried contacted him a while back, and got no response. I guess he wants it for free. I dunno.
