Re: My M 151 A1 Restoration Project
Looking really good Bro!...I'm almost done my body, I had a hell of a time with the fitting of the gas tank because the underbody kit wouldn't line up perfect. Finally got it done and I will be ready for paint in about 6 weeks. I'll post some pic's in a few days!

Re: My M 151 A1 Restoration Project
Some more updates. Finished the blending of the front fenders. I use 80 or 120 grit on a 2" air 90 to flush the welds off then use 80 grit on a DA sander. Grind welds flat! I've seen many a good weld get butchered when the grinder hits. The last part of the pictures is the installation of the driver side upper rear seat mount. You'd think this would have been a 1/2 hour job. I have at least 3 1/2 hours! Bracket was twisted from removal. Another example of why I could never restore this stuff for other people and a good thing I'm not charging myself per hour.
Now to the back!

You realize this vehicle will be 10 times straighter than any vehicle that ever left the factory!
With that said I really hope that when this body is done that all of the mechanicals all fit up!! Mainly the front and rear drive shafts.

Re: My M 151 A1 Restoration Project
The guy that I bought it from used the rear A-arms to put it back together so should be fine. But, I know of a machine shop that could help if I have an issue...rickf wrote:You realize this vehicle will be 10 times straighter than any vehicle that ever left the factory!

Yes Rick. I thought about posting that it was a loaner but figured that was obvious.rickf wrote:That side panel looks familiar! You are just using that for fitup right?
