Inform them that their "Jeeps" are actually Fiats, then see what they say! And before that they were Chryslers and before that they were AMC's and only before that, LONG before probably any of them were born, were they actually Jeeps.m3a1 wrote:Some folks are quick to lump the M151s in with the Jeeps. I've found that our local hot rodders are very accepting of the MVs. Hard not to be with all the modern stuff showing up fresh off the showroom floor. But we all know what it takes to keep the old iron on the road. And yet, on the other end of the argument we have some modern Jeep enthusiasts who are very deeply entrenched in their mind-set and the JEEP badge. By way of example....Not long ago, and on a lark, I swung into a local Jeep gathering in my M109A3. First thing I heard was, "THAT isn't a JEEP." I replied, "The hell it ain't! It was manufactured in 1966 by Kaiser Jeep." I figure it's pretty tough to argue with that.
As my venerated Dad used to say, "Perception always depends upon whose ox is being gored."

Re: Front bumper rope???
Mark, This is probably the best explanation. I might add that if you have your album set to public then all the pictures will be visible by scrolling from the one you post. If you set it to private that should not happen. I just have one album I use for internet pictures so I don't care if people look through them or not.Mark wrote:It don't show the photo. All I want is the one photo, you don't need to see all my pictures in photo bucket. So if that is how it works then I won't post any photos. So will someone let me know how this works?
thanks,
mark

Re: Front bumper rope???
Thanks Rickf, I didn't know about the public/private thing, a good while back I had no problem with posting pictures.
now I get the IMG words line etc but when I preview it or post it I still get the same thing, so I have to play around with it my photo bucket don't work right yet, new system or something

Re: Front bumper rope???
I had to go on their facebook page to their tech section and send them a message to get mine straightened out. Must have been on their end because all they needed was my account and password and in a couple days it was working fine. They are not big on communication, they never sent me anything telling me they did anything.

Interesting cow-catcher on the grille. (Just kidding, Mark. Sorry, I couldn't resist taking a little jab at ya.)

I've actually seen that grill guard on other M151's, don't know if it's military, maybe someone can answer.
