PHOTOBUCKET 3rd party image issue
I received a message from Photobucket saying the way I am using it is not in compliance with the terms and conditions and that I must upgrade. The way I use it is the way all of us use it. I think we should start looking for a site that does not throw so much ads at us, is faster, and does not have this form of restriction.
Does anyone have any suggestions? If we all get hit with this, it could screw up the "G".
Here is a link to the message I got:

According to their new terms of use you pretty much have to pay but I just put this pic here from there so maybe it is if you try to do a over a certain number of them? The ad free is only a couple bucks a month which I would not mind if that were the issue but from what I read in the new terms of use it appears more like 10.00 a month to solve the problem Vin has. I ain't paying that. Here is the issue, it is like cable TV, they get you to the point where you have to have it or you do not have TV. Well that is what it is coming down to here. Very few web sites can upload pictures directly from a computer, they need a certain size and the easiest way is through a web service. If Photobucket is doing it then the rest of the photo site are or will be soon.

Being up front about it would have been good. As it is, I'm reluctant to register a credit card with them.

Re: PHOTOBUCKET 3rd party image issue
I thought about paying the photobucket fee for the Plus 500 service. It's the only one that allows 3rd party hosting. It's $39.99/mo. No way!!
A friend said we can do it with Google Photo. I'm trying it here
As you can see, the first effort did not work! After a bit of research, the experts say no.

You can resize images through Microsoft Office picture manager but it is a pain because if you want to keep the original you need to make a copy first an then resize the copy. Then you have to go through whatever protocol the web site you are using requires to put the smaller size pic on there. I have also been told that Irfanview is a good program, I tried it once a long time ago and did not like it. It may have gotten better by now. Basically online hosting is out, you are not going to find a good, permanent solution there. It is going to have to be done on your computer or your ISP's server.

Fasstone Image Viewer (fsview) is what I have been using for years. Easy tomuse and very powerful range of features. Well worth a try.
