Picture Request
Do any of you have pictures of your tubs after stripping them and the extent of repairs done? I'd like to see the worst tubs that anyone has repaired.
Re: Picture Request
Let me know if you need more pictures but truthfully this old tub started in pretty good condition. All I needed was 40lbs of ice and a couple racks of Amstel Light and Heineken

Mr. Dibbles you are one of a kind! Maybe one day I'll drive down to Texas and help you empty that tub and than refill it again. I'm probably going to need to drink that much just to get me in the mood to tackle this project.

Man I'd kill for that tub.....Those were the best to take a long hot soak in...
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....
Re: Picture Request
I have a nice claw foot tub in the basement, stamped 1916. (filled with anything and everything the hubby wants off the floor in fear of a flood) It WILL go into my bathroom when that room is remodeled! Best price ever too, was free!
Trying to get this thread back on topic....
I haven't gotten around to dealing with tubs yet, but once we do, I'll be sure to post pics.

Mr. Recovery,
Thanks for the photo's. Looks like you had to replace the batt floor back to the tool box. Are you just replacing just the batt floor with a new panel and piecing in metal for the tool box or are you replacing both with new? Also, are you spot welding them back in or running a bead?
Salt6,
Thanks for the photo's. Are you installing part of a large underbody kit and new panels? Are you spot welding or running a bead? Thats a hell of a repair on that main frame rail. I noticed the holes in the subframe and thought you drilled out the spot welds but noticed in the other pictures that rail is gone. I was going to repair mine with spot welds instead of running a bead.
Are either of you guys using sheilding gas? I think Rick said -025 wire and shielding gas was the way to go.
