Here's some pics of my new toy..a 1966 M274..still has it's USMC markings..I plan on putting a good used seat on it (anybody have one for sale?) and putting it to work with the M151 and our educational military displays..with the Vietnam era supplies and gear on it,it'll have that "been there" look

Hello Ed,

Nice find. There are a few of those over here too. Use of course even more restricted, maybe at a MV meet if you don't own a farm. Do you plan to make some trailer to pull it behind your 151?

[On a different subject (assume you're still in Pontiacs). Putting a pair of Doug's headers in my GTO (actually pay somebody to do it). Looking forward on how they will do. Have now a Tremec 5-speed in the car. Not driven it yet, as I am on the other side of the pond.]

Happy holidays

I have a M274 A5- a great machine. The A5 lacks 4 wheel steering {you can modify them for it though} but otherwise has the best motor, a 2 cylinder based on the good old US Army 5kw generator. Some of the earlier versions had magnesium beds and 4 cylinder engines.
You can tow the Mule behind your Mutt, no problem. Be sure to unlink the steering, {RTM!}. The NOS tow bar is rather hard to find, ie pricey, and runs around $100. It uses a special cast metal connection to the Mule's steering linkage. Be sure to get the right pin with it.
For parts- I use Dave Kelone and he could have your seat. His contact info is:

There is a forum on that other site, G503, for the mule and a yahoo group, too. Someone there might have what you need.

Great decision to get a MULE. I have an A4 model with the mag bed, wheels, and motor. Great fun to take it to the National forest in Southern Ohio and watch the reaction of all the honda, yamaha and other present day ATV owners as I motor through the trails. These things are pretty much unbreakable. Take care and enjoy!
