Have you checked out Surveyors craigslist postings? He hasn't had much on there lately but there may still be some of the older ones available.

Not much showing up on Craigslist lately. Other places to watch are Facebook's marketplace, warjeeps, ewillys, ebay, etc. but slow going on a2's at those sites as well.

Re: looking for an A2
Rick, not sure that would be true. Un-assembled, the body is just that.... a body. Jeep bodies are imported from the PI all the time. I believe the previous manufactures got in trouble because they were producing the complete vehicle... to the point of having them titled.... like my 1998 Encore. Now, if someone bought the parts and started assembling complete vehicles, and having them titled.... somehow.... as new vehicles, they would have to meet current highway safety standards. He would have to comply with all of TODAY's safety standards. Bump that price by double or more!!! That was what put the original body companies out of business, A cease and desist from the government.
Re: looking for an A2
You may be right but you know as well as I that if Guy manufactured a body and someone got killed in it the lawyers would go after everyone from top to bottom. It would be considered a kit car and they would most certainly go after the body manufacturer. Whether they would win or not who knows but it would definitely cost guys company a ton of money in lawyers to defend the case. Another thing to consider is what you said about where the bodies are coming from, they are coming from out of the country so suing that company would be very hard to do.

Re: looking for an A2
Rick Rick Rick..... you have such a low opinion of lawyers! Its almost like you believe they are out there just looking to file law suits!
Re: looking for an A2
he's right. lawyers are the bane of our existence. their collective eagerness to destroy the nation with nonsensical litigation is well known.
Re: looking for an A2
Isn't law suits how lawyers make alot of money?
