12th Annual Graves Mountain Rally - Virginia Sept 3-7, 2020
12th Annual Graves Mountain Military Vehicle and Vintage 4x4 Trail Rides and Rally
Labor Day Weekend, September 3 - 7, 2020
A fun filled weekend of trailriding, parts-swapping, and fellowship in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia open to all Military Vehicles and to Civilian Vehicles 25 years old and older. Newer vehicles may be allowed by permission of the organizers.
Some are trails are easy, some are not.
Some are wide, some narrow...some rocky, some grassy, some muddy...
Remember, there is no extra charge for selling your stuff at the rally nor are there restrictions on the amount of space that you occupy in the huge event field.
New to Graves Mountain this year is High Speed Fiber Optic Internet at Main Lodge as well as at the Hilltop and Ridgecrest Motels. You’ll also see an increase in WiFi speed at the Syria Mercantile and at various locations on the Lodge Grounds.
Otherwise, we are still Tech Limited with no cell except via Internet (or you can go up on top of the mountains and look for the signs on the trails indicating cell reception).
For More Event Information and Registration, See: https://gravesmountaintrailrides.com/
We will follow all Commonwealth of Virginia and Graves Mountain Social Distancing Policies in effect at the time of the event.
Hope to see a bunch of you this fall…

Re: 12th Annual Graves Mountain Rally - Virginia Sept 3-7, 2020
I am not going to make again this year due to the ongoing medical issues. I was not able to work on the RV at all for the last two years now so I am looking all new tires, all batteries, complete exhaust. Just can't do it. I thought about getting a cabin and I called and there were a couple available that would handle the dogs but meals are no longer included in the price so that pretty much killed that idea. It would be over a thousand dollars for three days and I just can't do that. I have been waiting 17 years for them to settle my workers comp suit, I told the lawyer it is this year or I drop the case. And if I drop the case he does not get paid because his award is from the state, not out of my pocket. No case, no pay. So hopefully next year I will be able to attend and maybe even with a better RV! Paying off the mortgage comes first though.

The shirt order has been placed...
Prices will depend on the final costs, but should be about the same as last year. Chuck will have them for sale in the registration/HQ tent.
Huge shoutout to RickF for finding the photo that will be featured...I still have no idea what I did with the copy that was on my computer...

Speaking of me and pictures, who has been taking care of the dinner pics?

It depends on the year...
If you go look at the Flickr page with all the photos, I have them organized by year, and then by the person who took them...

You still have time to register in advance...
The form is available on the event website (you click on "register" and it downloads the form).
https://gravesmountaintrailrides.com/
The site also has links to photos from previous years and useful information.
Hope to see a bunch of you there in September (we have oodles of space to spread out...).

First day at Graves. About a 6 hour ride for us and got here around 3 pm. Did a short ride then had ribs and chicken. More vehicles will roll in tomorrow. This is a beautiful area.
