Local city road department auctioned off some surplus equiptment and I came home with this. Painted over data plates and rebuild tag on rear crossmember, but we'll try to salvage some numbers and manufacturer. Rated as a 3/4 ton trailer and it still has the hefty safety chain hooks, but same frame and rolling chassis as M416. The tower on the drawbars allow to be towed behind 2.5 and 5 ton trucks. I'm leaning towards wiring up some 24v tail lights, add some reflectors, sand blast and paint the same camo scheme as my MUTT and use it to haul pine straw bales from Home Depot and maybe a vet or two in a parade.
Or a searchlight, generator, light tower, portable canvas tents and hospital units, etc.

By the way, having a fork lift is really cheating. You should give it to me and get some of your dignity back..
Re: M762 Followed Me Home
Hell, having a concrete driveway is cheating!! I see you have been down the Chinese trailer tire route, You carry TWO trailer spares. Been there, done that.

Re: M762 Followed Me Home
We would go through a Tractor Supply tire almost every decent trip we took, between the skidding on turns and the brake on the trailer, we were eating them up at $100 each. I went with radial larger car tires this last go round and haven't looked back. We carry the two spares from force of habit but haven't changed a tire in thousands of miles.
The forklift was a trade for a M100 trailer project and we could say no and wonder how we lived without one, not having a backhoe or loader tractor to lift things on and off. We were using a Harbor Freight gantry with block and tackle.
The former driveway was crush and run and that got old real quick. So when we added on the fourth bay, we cemented 27k worth of driveway and pad. We have since outgrown the fourth bay and need to cover carport another 20 x 60 ft to cover the six M170 's we got recently. The trailers are just left in the woods till I come up with a winning lottery ticket.
I've got a lead on another nice M762 and I got a lot of attention when I created two MBT's , one with a tandem tow set up with rear pintle and trailer socket. They made a nice jeep train. Wondering if I can come up with something to connect the two M762's in tandem and tow bhind an M37? Hmmmm how unique would that be. And, fun to back up as well.
