did you get a canvas cover with it ? Does the State National Guard have auctions often? I'd have to check in Missouri. Say Raymond, do they ? Tom

Tom

I have never been to one, but I have a friend who is the head of transportation for one of the local school districs. He goes and gets stuff from the state of Mo. at Jefferson City. He has brought back tools, tire mounting equipment, welders, etc. that all came from the Mo. state agencies including the Mo. National Guard. He says the auctions include surplus from all state agencies, not just the Guard . He also says that school districts, small municipalities, small and rural fire depts, sheriff's depts, etc, get first crack at stuff before it goes to auction. A quick internet search should find locations and schedules. I do know that the GSA has big vehicle auctions in the St. Louis area, but I have never went to one and don't really follow that stuff, as the M151 is highly unlikely to show up in either one of the state or GSA auctions.

Finally got through all the paperwork and approvals and picked up the trailer on the 17th... here's a few pics:

The trailer is in better shape that I thought. It had been Ziebarted so no rust, all three tires were new, taillights were new,
no missing or broken parts, has the rear stabilizer bar etc. All it needs is new paint. It came from a Nat'l Guard helicopter unit located at Mercer County Airport in W.Trenton NJ.... I'm a happy boy cause I got it for $240.00!

I'm basically gonna use it for its original mission, hauling various crap around lol. its a great all purpose utility trailer. I'll maintain its military appearance, despite my wife's desire to paint it anything but green. I'll just change the bulbs to 12 volt and add a civvy flat four harness. beside's... I might get a M37 someday lol Plus I have a M116A1 flatbed trailer if needed, so I'm flush with trailers right now. here's a pic of my M116A1;

how do they look behind a civilian pick-up? Also How well do they pull at high speed, A few weeks ago they had several for sale through Govtliq. local to me and they went for cheap, like yours. I've been thinking about picking one up.
