Beware of M151Parts.com...

Unread post by mwmutt » June 7th, 2022, 11:26 am

On March 30,2022 I placed an order for parts for my M151 A2 on the Italian site M151Parts.com, a newcomer to the lucrative spare parts market...I paid cash via PayPal and it was told that the shipment would be made within 10 working days. On April 18, haven received nothing, I questioned them to learn that the product was not available but would be in the next fortnight while apologizing for this delay and agreeing to ship express...new relaunch on April 29 and still no news to date...!
No comments on this site which prides itself on a beautiful presentation with nice pictures but sells product that it does not have and doesn't have the honesty to reimburse its customers. Obviously no postal address and no telephone contact possible except a certain Vittorio Fiorilli who appears in the statues of the company. I would be interested to know the point of view of our Italian Mutter.Thank you and regards.

Horst, Isn't this the same guy that had the lockers and the infamous Magic carburetor with the extra venturi welded inside of it? If so he was pestering me to sell him parts and ship them to some address here in the states for shipment overseas. He also has burned a friend of mine for a LOT of money on a very large shipment. If it is who I am thinking of.

Ok, Good to hear that guy is not back again!! This guy wanted me to ship a NOS head to some address in Fla plus a gas tank if I remember correctly. Yea right. Even if I could trust a deal like that shipping that stuff has become so expensive it is not worth it.

A new web of m151 parts...It would be good news if it weren't for these problems. I have never shopped there and after this I never will. In Italy I have only bought at Perini and I don't recommend anyone to buy there, my experience was very bad.
In your situation, I would claim the money from PayPal as soon as possible.
Greetings and good luck.

Nice Lady got a response to one of her Craigslist ads that was quick, unusually generous and included a large bonus for 'holding' an item until a certified check could be overnighted.

All the usual warning signs...

I piece of paper arrived in Priority Mail that looked like a check...sorta....for seven times the amount. No perforations, signature was printed (you could see the pixels in what would otherwise have been ink from a pen) and lacking the crispness in printing and quality of paper that you would expect of a document that a financial institution would produce as a promissory note.

Then finally, a follow-up text from the 'buyer' noting that tracking had shown the check had arrived and, explaining the overpayment was a mistake (yeah, right) and would she deposit the check and pay the shipping out of the difference because they TRUST her to be honest and blah-blah-blah.

I told her to text them back and tell them that there must have been some error and that the check had NOT arrived and would they stop payment on the first and send another check?

(Can you tell I have been on this road before?)

Point of the exercise would be to see how many times they would send fake checks until they caught on to the fact that they were the ones being scammed. All is fair in love and war. I have three $10,000 checks from a scammer. Alas, there were not enough to decoupage my toilet seat.

Cheers,
TJ
