Seat cushions
Probably a dumb question but is there a "correct" way to install the front lower seat cushions (nos vinyl) ? The for and aft flaps are not sewn on symmetrical, one is right on the edge of the cushion, the other is about 1/4inch away from the edge. I've checked the TM, it does not specify.

Re: Seat cushions
Curt, ask Rick F. He has been reprimanded for not having the hem to the rear (and he probably still doesn't)
The 1/4" difference is an assembly process thing, well within tolerances. We do all of our assembly off of center alignment (it takes a little longer but gives better results). Contractors, who aren't obligated to our precision, likely use edge alignment (by eye or by repetitive guesstimate). Most specs for MV textile finished product allow a + or - 2" tolerance. Based on the size of the item, manufacturers will dial it in proportionally closer than that in practice. Don't fret about the slight difference. Put the seams to the rear and be one up on Rick

Re: Seat cushions
That was the very first thing that came to my mind as soon as I saw this thread. I didn't respond because I was not sure if the vinyl seats had the seam or not. But you are absolutely right, there right where you saw them all those years ago. In the process of moving all of my stuff out of the storage container I found quite a few much better cushions both in vinyl and canvas so I will be changing them out once I get it rolling again. Glad to see you still remember the good old days Dave.D Pizzoferrato wrote: ↑June 10th, 2022, 7:34 amCurt, ask Rick F. Re: Seat cushions
Don't allow yourself to be seen adjusting that while you're sitting on the seat. People will wonder what you're doing.
