Pro tip, when you come to filling the transmission do it before putting the floor cover on and fill it through the shifter hole. 2 3/4 quarts. If you really want to be perfectly exact the spec is 5.5 pints or you can pull the fill plug, (The LOWER PLUG!!!!) and fill till it runs out. I just put in 2 3/4 quarts and call it good. That is a LOT easier than trying to fill it from underneath!

Agreed on 100%,, done 2 days ago. Moreover you can check space from above. To clean up, to adjust, etc...
I decided to change oil after 3 years, some 4 000 miles- nonsence! But result is a pretty nice. The ride is much better.
Well, coming weekend is a big ride in South Bohemia. A lot of old, not so old and some strange military and off road
vehicles. Preparation (not only carš liguids exchange) is sinply necessary.

Re: Engine will not turn over
It is alive!!!
I finished hooking up all of the parts and only had a few nuts and bolts left over. It had not run from just before Memorial Day. It took a whiff of starting fluid. It ran smooth.
The big test was next, will it move under its own power. Yes it did, all gears are working fine and the clutch adjustment is not to bad. I still have a few things to address before I hit the open roads but I an so happy that my repairs worked and it will go under its own power.
Thanks to all for there help and assistance.
