Hey, what paint did you get? Why is to so shinny?
Didn't you go for a matt finish ?

Its shiny because its wet! :)
I went for a semi matt finish, there is no lacker in the paint but is smooth rather than matt.
It will last long.

Oooooooo Wet Paint :D
Sieken's Matt green or ICI's Nato Green last well & long too..... Lucky you do have to worry about rust... here even the new ones get rusted in a matter of months if not cared.

Good pace you have had these people on :) , at this rate you should be painting the town 'green' soon

What happened to your data plates ??

Ahh Yes, you've got salt in the air, what do you do to keep it of your Mutt?

Yes, quite efficient these people are, and quite capable too.

Data plates never came with it!

Hey Sherwan,

Looks terrific, even wet. Not sure the specifics on an 825, but for a 151 the bumperettes are on upside down. You might want to check and get them turned over, while the touch up paint is readily available for the bolt heads. :D

Yups... Rainman is right, the bumperetts are the other way round. Smooth edge come up.

As for the salty air, Sherwan, well a well covered MUTT when not in use, a daily clean and a through wash everytime out for an offroad (so that's every weekend)
Going to be doing a fun paint project soon, so really not bothered about the paint finish. As it is, its gonna go under a blast in summers.

Um Guys a little help here,

Well i'm not very good with petrols, so i'm stuck unfortunately! again!
Now the thing is i took the distributor of for a clean up, so while i was doing that an a""hole cranked the engine via the fan, and the notch popped out!
So i inserted it back in, put the distributor back on, tightened it, and gave the starter a go, while the engine cranked it started to fire back via the air intake. I took the spark plug cable out to see if it was working and it was unfortunately, and lit up the head which had petrol leaking in it! i was very pissed at that particular person!

Now i can't seem to get the timing right and neither the spark cables sequence.
I've shown in the picture how i'm plugging in the cables, is that right? and how can i get the timing right?

Update

Waiting for a new fuel pump to arrive, plus radiator is being rebuilt because of leaks. So the Mutt is sitting in the garage.

Looking good :)
What fuel pump are you putting in? Got the original, where from ?

Hey, don't go for too much of red on the handles, knobs, cap etc

Yes getting the original, have a guy here who is a private contractor and supplies parts to 8th ID and 15 ID battalions, he turns up with most of the stuff, mostly original, but he takes his time.

Well the red you see is the only red you will see. No further red is to be done. ID's over here keep them this way.

Yeah, I know they paint too much of these things red. An auction took place here today. Couldn't go but I'm sure I missed out on a lot of photo ops.
