Random gun pics
Raymond spiked this forum so I thought i'd continue..
Here's a pic of what I gave my groomsmen on my wedding day, instead of the typical lighter or whiskey flask that I always seem to get when I stand in weddings I figured I'd give my boys something they would enjoy for years to come (other than the clap from my bachelor party but thats a whole other story, lol).

Re: Random gun pics
The marriage is great actually, I couldn't be happier. She has guns too She also has her CCW and I recently bought her a new carry gun, S&W 340pd airlite in .357 she carries it with .38 +P's though. I built her an AK a couple of years ago for Christmas and she really enjoys shooting it, a couple that shoots together...stays together. This is the AK I built for her, AK74 with Plum furniture, the grip has since been replaced with a plum colored one. My wife is a cosmetic department manager at a large scale store (over 10 million a year cosmetic department), she wears heals daily and I get tickled to death when she comes home telling me stories on how she tells the girls at work how we go shooting all the time. Only if they knew how good of a shot she really is!!

Re: Random gun pics
great stuff, not knowing anything about kyber pass weapons
i found this in the internet, sound right?:
More than a century ago, the British passed on the art of gun making to the locals of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province. Today, the economy survives on trading and manufacturing of replica guns.
More than a century ago, the British passed on the art of gun making to the locals of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province. It was a small price to pay for securing safe passage through the region. At the time, no one realised the impact weapons manufacturing would have on the local economy or culture. Today, visitors can have any model of firearm copied by a skilled craftsman in less than four days.
The North West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan is home to the world's largest autonomous tribal society, the Pashtuns. Pashtuns in the NWFP (also known as Pathans and Pukhtuns) belong to around a dozen tribes and within this to clans (or 'Khels') each named after an early arrival to the area where they trace their ancestry.
Forty kilometres south of Peshawar, in tribal controlled territory, lays the town of Darra Adam Khel. The people are Sunni Muslim, Afridi Pashtuns. Out of Pakistan Government jurisdiction, gaining entry to Darra can be complicated. Taxi drivers refuse to go, even with armed escort, but whatever transport is eventually employed, in order to stay in Darra a fee will probably have to be paid to a Tribal Militia policeman upon arrival.
Unlike other regions of the frontier, the Khyber has no arable land to farm. In Darra the economy survives on its trade and manufacture of replica guns. Rumour has it that the town used to deal with opium drug lords but has since cleaned up its act. In August 2001 it was possible to buy a .32 calibre pen gun for $US5-6 or have any model of firearm copied by a skilled gunsmith in just four days. It is estimated that Darra's lathes finish approximately 500-700 guns per day. Visitors can purchase or hire almost anything. Replica AK47 Kalashnikovs are apparently hired the most often. A make shift firing range at the end of the main street has a constant flow of young visitors and local are always children eager to gather dropped used cartridges to re-sell back to the gunsmiths.
Females are not seen. The men are fiercely proud and incredibly hospitable and generous. Youngsters are keen to practise their English and invitations for green tea are endless. As far as business is concerned the Afridis have kept fundamentalist beliefs separate from money making. The narrow streets consist of shop after shop of cellophaned Pistols, Uzi sub-machine guns and revolvers. Brightly coloured signs advertise the wares on sale. Skills are passed from generation to generation.
The men of Darra learnt their trade from the British. After failed attempts to march the Khyber in 1839 and 1878, the Brits taught the local tribesmen the art of crafting replica firearms for two reasons: in order to travel the NWFP freely; add because they were tired of having their own guns stolen.
It was believed that the poor quality metal from the hills would eventually cause the replicas to misfire, however no one realised quite how skilled the tribal smiths would become at adapting their skills to compensate for the low-grade metal. Even though the occasional barrel does still explode, overall the replicas are remarkably faultless.

Re: Random gun pics
That is true, but now its history,
Since last year the army has deployed 2 ID's 1 Mech Brigade, and they are pounding ass on a daily basis, the Darra is shutdown for good and in rubble.
Due to that, ammunition of certain calibers is very scarce now.

Nice Mosin Nagants What a great gift. I always got a beer mug or Maglite flashlight. I bought a Mosin Nagant a few years ago. Mine is a SAKO model 39 with the hex receiver from Finland. It has the SAKO gear logo with a S inside the outline of the gear. It has a matching number barrel, bolt, and receiver. It is dated 1943, but from the looks of the barrel and stock, etc, it appears to have never been fired other than proof fired. The M 39 rifles produced in Finland had to put 3 shots in a 1.3 inch circle at 100 meters even though it was a general issue rifle. That is close to minute of angle accuracy usually found in match conditioned military rifles. I found it at a gun show, and the dealer said he was saving it for his personal collection and thus wasn't really interested in selling this one, but money talks. Anyone looking for a good surplus rifle that is highly accurate for the money won't go wrong with a SAKO or TIKKA M39.

Top,
That whole sector is destroyed, and some of even leveled! 200,000 Army Troops, 100,000 Paramilitary Troops, Support Troops, Artillery, Jets, Gunships! Its a goddamn full scale war zone!
Rick,
They will be gone for a long time for sure, though they are not "people" i'd say, if you see through the charms, you won't even look back.

Yummy presents to give away on a wedding day, Motorcityman and I must say that's a lovely craftmanship on the AK you have done. Did you get training in the Khyber Agency
& you seem to know alot about it, been there ? Lovely place. Pashtoons are great people, friends of friends and the worst of enemies one can have. No wonder, no one ever made it through, nor will
