some time back i was bs ing with someone this forum by email (rick? rainman? MrD, forgot who it was) about the U-2s that were based at Bien Hoa in VN in 1968-9 and how I once rode in the recovery vehicle, a usaf hot el ranchero.

one of the guys i was with back then sent me this video link about a current day U-2 operation which shows the landings. Also in flight at 70,000 feet!

A while back on tv, there was a show which told how the first U-2 (CIA) went down over Russia back in 60, which were based here in Pak then. :roll:
