Heres a new one.

I had mentioned on one of the forums that my mutt had died and had no spark. Well I needed it to move a trailer today so I pulled the cap and found something interesting. Back in May I had completely rebuilt this distributor with a NOS coil, filter capacitor, Swiss controls ignition module. Apparently I neglected to fully tighten the terminals on the coil. Either that or they came loose, which I doubt. The end result is the black wire terminal end was able to move around and shorted on the inside of the cap. Easy fix, move wires and tighten terminal nuts. Keep in mind that I have been running all summer like this! Just goes to show what can happen when you are rushed.

Just to clarify, The only thing that was loose was the terminal on the coil. I had removed the bracket screws to check the wire. So I only had one loose nut.
