Non vented gas cap is correct for an M151A2 with emissions?

Unread post by russnj » July 10th, 2010, 8:28 am

Hi All

I searched but did not find a definite answer, so hear goes.
Is the nonvented cap is correct for M151A2 with emissions tank and plumbing?

Mine has a vented cap and it is open, should I just run with it closed?

thanks

All the non vented cap does is proces all of the tank vapor through the carbon canister. Running with the vent open will do no harm. I don't think the hydrocarbon emissions from one or two M 151's is going to change the greenhouse gas problem one way or the other.
