Here's the filthy varmint :x Rick, as you can see by the general intact carcass, I did not use a Barrett. He has been taunting me for a couple weeks. I never could get a shot until this morning. Shot him at about 125 yards.

Sorry Mr.R. I threw his carcass back into his burrow as a warning to any friends to stay away

Here's the weapon I dispatched him with. It's an old Finnish SAKO Riihimaki .222 (also known as a triple deuce) varmint rifle from the mid 1950's. I used Winchester Super X shells loaded with 50 grain soft point bullets It's a true classic.

It might have the opposite effect. An army of avenging groundhogs is a force to be reckoned with.
Be extremely careful in that pool of yours.

He was sitting on his porch with the gun propped on the railing next to the coffee cup.

Hey Raymond,
I had some wasabi the other night that nearly blew the top of my head off. Other than you and me, not many guys on here get to run a combine. I'm not in a Deere mind you, just an Allis-Chalmers Gleaner. With a full load of corn, having a groundhog burrow collapse under the wheel gives you a few seconds of your life passing before you eyes. I never miss an opportunity to drop the hammer on a groundhog.
