Hi Guys,
Looking for a complete OE-254/VRC antenna, must be in working condition. I'm hoping maybe someone has one they don't need they'd like to sell...
Thanks
Jim

Re: WTB - OE-254/VRC Antenna
I picked up part of one up at Gilbert without the masts a few yrs back Moose. I've pieced that one together and since then I have started assembling a 2nd. Needs the fiberglass insulator section and below. Depends on if you need a complete one next week, or piece a set together over a period of time. Why a 254 and not a 2niner2?

Re: WTB - OE-254/VRC Antenna
I'm not in a hurry, it's a want to have item not a need to have. I figured if i put my mutt in a show that lasts more than a day i'd set up my camo netting and antenna and put the radios to use... Why the 254 instead of 292, mainly ease of use. the 292 was developed for the old vrc 8 series radios used on the m-38A1 jeeps. As you know there were 3 different RT's each covering a piece of the FM tactical band. The 292 worked the same way, you used the appropriate mast sections for the piece of band your rt used. The OE-254 was developed for the VRC-12 series radios, and is broadband, giving a -3db gain across the entire FM Tactical band with no tuning or mast changing needed.Rainman wrote:I picked up part of one up at Gilbert without the masts a few yrs back Moose.
