It's Twins!

Unread post by Cobra5 » April 29th, 2008, 6:42 pm

Well here are a few photos of my latest finds. They are in real bad shape because the guy who originally owned them had them sitting outside in a field for a few years. After he passed away eariler this year Robin from the Gee board purchased them at an estate sale. I bought them from him. They are in need of a lot of lovin because they were on the Oregon coast. You guys on the east coast can relate. Anyway the one with the antenna is a cut 1966 with an A-2 engine. This was a driver for the original owner but it doesn't look as if it has been used in quite sometime. The underbody is not bad except for the rewelded areas. The floor pans are shot as well as the battery box. The top of the right rear quarter is mostly gone. The hood and windshield are scrap as well. I cut the top off since it was trash.
The second one is a uncut 1967 with a title. This is the worst because the sub-frames are rotted out. Both rear quarters are shot as well as the floor pans. Both are missing the original data plates and only the uncut one has it's BUD Plate. All in all they can be restored but they are going to take a lot of $$ and time. Right now they are inside the shop in hopes of keeping them dry and out of the weather. It's not going to stop the corroding process but it may slow it down a bit.

Nice find and I hope you can save them!
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....
