what radio do i have?
We have three radio bits in our Mutt. The middle unit is the prc-25, the unit on the right is an r-442a, but I can not id the one on the right. It has no id tags on it.
The freq knob is connected to the motor on the base of the antenna.
I do get power to it but have not had time to try and tune it.

Re: what radio do i have?
While the location may possibly be reversed...
The equipment to the left and under the PRC-25 is all a part of the AM-2060. The AM-2060 does a few things. It allows the PRC-25 or PRC-77 to be mobile mounted into the MT-1029 radio mount. It provides an external speaker for the portables, provides antenna tuner controls and reduces the mounts voltage from 24v to 12v to operate a PRC-25 or 77, as well as supply low voltage to the lone tube in the PRC-25. The receiver on the far right is an R-442. Hope that helps.

You have two posts going with the same title and message, I replied to one and Rainman replied to the other. I suggest you delete one of them to prevent confusion.

Re: what radio do i have?
This is the setup I'm wanting to go with. I have everything but the am2060. I have a really nice 442 but don't think I want to use it. Whats the price range of a working am2060? And what's the benefit of having the 442?

Re: what radio do i have?
The R-442 was an aux receiver to allow monitoring two nets at the same time, for example; you have an RT-524 or PRC-77 on the company net for local comm, and a R-442 to monitor the Brigade or Battalion net to keep track of the big picture and be ready for any orders coming down fromabove...

I can take care of that for you, I will delete the one I answered since this one has the most replies.
