Antenna install

Unread post by vtdeucedriver » July 26th, 2008, 2:15 pm

Got a question, is the antenna base grounded to the antenna bracket by a bonding wire????? Also is their supposed to be a rubber gasket installed somewhere?

Hi Jeff

There is a bonding wire from bottom of antenna base (you will see a threaded hole) and the sugar scoop (tinned braided wire with soldered terminals).

A rubber gasket goes between the base and the suger scoop (let me know if you need one I have a ton of them lying around here)

Hi Jeff.

Thats ok you dont need to send anything, have plenty of stuff like that down here, keep them for someone that may need them later on.

If you are short of any more installation parts let me know.

All the best

I also could use some of those gaskets (3) and several bonding straps (3). I do not expect to get them for free.
