Now I know better.
I took them out for photo to look cool but it turns out that twisting the belt like that is not.
How about handling it like this?
or like this?
i've read it somewhere that shooting like this is totally ineffective, but it the movies--I guess--it is very effective... at fooling the people

You can and I have BUT, I can tell you that real ammo has a hell of a lot more kick than the blanks they use in the movies. I think the guns are also modified to cycle with lighter loads. I had some real sore ribs and I did not even come close to the target. You can shoot from the hip while holding the grips correctly with both hands and do so fairly accurately but still, you are not using sights so it is spray and pray.

Keep an eye out for broken one for display purpose... mine is fully function though.

I have the slick little rubberized bags that hold a box (100rds) that snap into those mounts. My cans don't fit right unless I ground off the hinge.
LOL, guess I didn't clean it after the last shoot, noticed it is a little dirty.

Yes, live full auto and transferable. I bought it many years ago so don't really know what they go for today, would guess 30-40K.

Here's my airsoft dressed out with some inert ammo. Dry brushed a little silver paint on it to weather it. Got an ammo pouch and sling from ebay. This is how we carried (humped) during my period of service in the mid 70s. Don't plan to mount it - just lay it in the back for deco.
BTW, my first attempt at posting pics, so don't have a cow if the whole picture doesn't show.

Why would anyone be concerned if their M60 meets AFT requirements if it is not full auto? You don't need to contact ATF for semi-auto's or plastic guns. Read the statutes and don't give the government information that they don't require. The government is not your friend!

Hmm, wonder where my picture went. I'll try again but this time my project is getting closer to the end. Doing a repaint to
get rid of the camo and general clean up. Also took off the fording intake and exhaust.
