I'm no transmission expert but I do know this. If it won't shift properly, DON'T FORCE IT. Obviously something is wrong but forcing anything mechanical you risk causing much more damage.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Hello Robin. I've never been asked about this before. Is yours worn? I will have to take a look at mine. Are you looking for a machined bracket or a sheet metal, 1 piece bracket?

Another batch of hat channels. Remember when these were getting hard to find? The yellow one is NOS and is used for QC on production orders. These match the underbody kit dimensions. $65 each plus shipping.

Re: Fire Vulnerability
My favorite was when I raced a dirt track car and would watch guys put race fuel in their cars with a lit cigarette hanging out of their mouth. The safety approach was they would turn their heads while pouring the fuel.

Same as Rick stated, mine had the white powder. I used dish washing soap and a sponge with warm water. Maybe give that a try.

Re: CMD Body Panels
I get asked about the shovel head bracket often. I guess it's time. I cut this off of my A1 scrap pile. Quick grit blast and prime this morning and it's at our scanner now. Small part but it's pretty complex. 20210111_073513.jpg I bought the Cadillac version of the Blair spot weld cutter. Not cheap ...

Thanks Clell. I've had a lot of help from people on this board and others when I've been missing information or parts to copy. I'm also fortunate for the resources at Cameron.

Re: Cannibalizing rusted out bodies....
If you have any good parts that can be used, I'd cut them off and save them. Even if you don't use, there might be someone else that needs them in the future.

We've made good progress with the full side panels. Adjusted programs, improved fit ups, ect. I have to get the shovel head bracket next. These bad boys are heading Noth to Canada.
