Re: Gamma Goat

I live about 2 hours east of Blake, you passed right by his place, few exits west of Turners, I think 206, I visit him several times a year. Don't you live close to San Antonio?, my sister lives there, I visit her a couple times a year, maybe we can have a cold beverage on my next trip. :D I would l...

This one had 7.50x16's on it, they would rub when you got off the road.

Re: Gamma Goat

Went and hung out with Blake @ Red River yesterday, told him we had a member that just acquired a goat, he said he had already talked to you, he probably has what you need in the goat market. We found some more panels for the 151, it's what I would call the kick panel, the one that goes under the cl...

Re: Getting stuff delivered

M&J My dad was hired in 1947, I can remember him driving the Cushman Mailster and then the DJ, he said they carried up to 50lbs. in the leather mailbag, he would park the Jeep and deliver several blocks by foot. Nowadays they drive up to every resident and can't lift over a few lbs., gone is the goo...

Re: Getting stuff delivered

I ordered some paint from Rapco about a month ago, aerosol and gallons, the gallons shipped by FedEx, aerosol by USPS, got gallon in a couple days, aerosol took 2 weeks, both shipped on same day. Rapco did their part, FedEx delivered on time but my aerosol must have went around the country, Mark tra...

Re: M718A1 restoration

Made more progress today, replaced the pesky rear a-arm bushing, if you haven't replaced these it can be a fun job, best to cut through until you feel your hacksaw starts to bind up, then they will come out. Had some new bushings, I think one set must have been from China, the old bolt and socket tr...

Re: M718A1 restoration

It won't see any mud but a wet road on a rainy day is possible, I would like to take it to a few events. Want to sand and paint the brake lines but will have to remove the covering to do so, trying to keep it as original as possible, down to the nuts and bolts, guess I could always buy new lines at ...

Re: M718A1 restoration

Got the front end back in, hope those Harbor Freight jackstands hold  , replacing the bushings in the rear a-arms, maybe I can have it back on it's wheels soon. My brake lines still have the cloth covers in descent shape, should I remove them?, I know they can hold moisture. https://i.postimg...
