Re: My Mutt M151A2 from Pakistan in Pakistan

I take my Hat off to you for going on a road trip that far in an old 151. It aint the most comfortable vehicle to drive even when its brand new, Fun, yes... but wow that's a long drive in a 151. Great job and glad to hear it worked out well.

Re: Few pics of my LOVE M151 A2 from Pakistan

That A2 looks great, but you got to know that if you run around with that turbo tag on the front of the engine compartment, "Your gonna have to show us all over here how fast that thing can scoot down the road"
I don't think I ever seen a "Turbo" version before ??

Re: M151 General Usage questions

If you do replace that yoke, take the old u-joint that is in the wheel end and try to put it into the yoke and remove it. If it goes in and out ok you can keep that yoke for a good spare, but if the old joint won't go then its bent up good and not really worth too much effort after that. This is jus...

Also if its a USMC paint scheme, shouldn't all that white paint be the USMC yellow color? The stencil lettering is also wrong type font if I remember right.

I think Dan is right. I believe what he has there is the USMC paint. That's just my opinion.... but I feel like that's what he has there.

Re: Generic jeep

I found some aircraft stripper at one of the local paint stores several years ago, in aerosol cans. I liked using it better because I could get it to work in hard to reach areas without any problems at all. (Don't get that stuff in your eyes either) a respirator is also good advise and long sleeve s...

Re: Project Jigsaw

i made a 24v test light out of one of my brake light bulbs from the 151 days. just soldered some wires on it and tinned the ends hard, then sharpened them with some sandpaper. it worked great too. Also you don't have to even look at that bulb to know it came on, it was bright... LOL

Re: Picked up another M151A1

I spy me something different about that 151, the top bow is resting on a bracket near the rear, is that a part of the radio equipment? I don't think I have seen another one like that, but then I could have overlooked that detail before...LOL
