Re: No Electrical Working

Yes Rick, not going to be an issue when I ensure the main cable goes direct to starter. I will never be using that slave cable receptacle anyways. My cousin did make the observation that only a sick, twisted mind could have designed the heater installation on the M151. I can't argue.....

Re: No Electrical Working

OK, issue resolved. The main power able to the dash was traced and I'm told that the slave receptacle up under the heater box was at fault. That was corrected, and a new, stout, ground cable replaced the original engine block to body cable. Instant power was the result. The primered truck comes back...

Re: No Electrical Working

Thanks Mutt Jeff and Rick. I'll pass it along. Shouldn't be any paint, only primer, but same rule applies, I know.

No Electrical Working

Well, my cousin called yesterday and related that they body work is completed, and my guess is that they're getting ready to bring it back to my place. Apparently, after re-installing the batteries, (which were charged to 100% prior to re-installation) there is no indication of power through the tru...

Carb Internals

On the Zenith 13660, there is an insert in the throat of the carb. Looking past the Choke plate, it might referred to as a venturi, and sits between the choke and throttle plates. Discharge opening of the main well tube protrudes this insert. Question: Should this piece (venturi, whatever it's calle...

Re: Found on CL - (Not Mine) 2020

That 718 is located about ten minutes from where my A2 is getting its new panels installed. About 70 minutes from my place.

And the Phoenix A2 ad, asking 12,500 for something to go camping/trailing in?

Re: coils

Just read it, will do an ohms test. Might be a while, as Pete said they should be in stock very soon, and I placed a pre-order. Heck, my truck is still at my cousin's place, 95% body work/primer done, but he JUST HAD TO drive across country with the family..... I'll update with photos of the coil an...

Re: coils

Well, I went out on a limb and called Pete DeBella yesterday, and pre-ordered one of the new manufacture 24 volt coils from him. Considering his reputation in the 503 world in supplying parts, and knowing the frustration a lot of us feel regarding the continued coil availability/reliability concerns...

Re: 1970(9)? AMG M151A2 for sale

Apparently it mounted a gas can bracket on the right side of the cowl in the past. Also, seems that there might be some extra rear floorboard holes that I would not associate with the M4 pedestal installation (if any).
