Re: Work on the site

one thing no longer working for me is the portal.php view which was my starting page to the forum and I could see the number of new posts. Do we still have something like that?

Re: Xenon Searchlight (not mine)

Not interested in the the light, but as a Jeep owner, this was a new site to me. Tons of jeeps for sales in the US. I browsed through it for almost an hour (despite I am not looking for one).

Also features a few of 151s for sale http://www.ewillys.com/category/m151/

Re: m151 proerty diposal

First of all I am proud to own and drive one of the most dangerous trucks of the US Army / Marines... The whole document focuses on how badly the demill process was done, how bad the documentation was handled and how the jeeps were sold. Seems like quite a few guys at the DRMO made some extra dollar...

Re: M151 restoration

Looks to me like a straight M151, it has a lot of early features, such as flat air cleaner, single hook latches for the hood (albeit removed in the restoration), push button hand brake, throttle pedal,... BTW, our wiki is full of details on the different variants: http://g838.org/public_html/wiki/do...

FS in the United Kingdom -not mine

Wasn't that last picture a former member of this site? Forgot his name but he put lockers on the 151 and a few other mods

Re: WTS: 196? M151A1 Restored Body and Rebuilt Engine

wow, this thing has seen some heavy duty welding jobs, a lot of angle iron underneath. But very visible on these honest and detailed photos, so a potential buyer who knows a little about 151 should not be surprised.

Re: Hercules g1600 engine

always something new to learn. The way I see it, this Hercules 1600 engine is still different from the M151 engine, but they share a lot of similar design elements. Which should be normal given that every engineer / design company will re-use proven designs. Still in my opinion does not change the f...

Re: What is this prototype?

as far as I remember what I have been reading, the experiment 151 with solid axles was done after the M151A1, before they decided to use the trailing arm set-up of the A2

Front turn signal "with white glass"

You can't link to anything stored on your computer. You have to upload the picture to something on the web.

Re: Front turn signal "with white glass"

Hi Morten, What do you define as "Nato light"? The blackout light below the turn signal? Concerning posting pictures, upload to any picture sharing platform (don't use photobucket), such as postimage.org. Use the img setting and insert the link of your hosted picture between so it looks like: [img]y...

Ok ok, I am the only one having a problem with that truck. So what, apparently I am a minority and everybody else loves it. That's good! However, to keeps things straight, Lindsey, are are admitting yourself that this configuration is something you loved to do and has nothing to do with anything bac...
