Re: Eisenhower's Willys MB for sale

Surveyor.... I don't have a record of 2C 7916 but it could be sat in a barn somewhere, waiting to be discovered. There has been a lot of early Fords re-appearing over the past couple of years. TJ.... I was puzzled about that, too. It doesn't look anything like a vacuum wiper motor but it does resemb...

Re: fording plate m151 1960

Ziky, Here is a picture of the early fording plate. I have never seen one for sale....but..... there is an Ebay seller in Poland who makes dataplates for M151-series. Why not ask him if he will make one for you? http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data/500/Fording_plate_-_early-2.jpg If you go to ebay a...

Re: Brake Cylinders

Have you considered rebuilding your old brake cylinders? You can do it with the cylinders mounted on the plate. You will need 2 3/4" and 2 1" kits, a drill and a brake hone. The kits contain 2 new rubbers, 2 pistons, and a spring. Easy to do and there are plenty of videos if you have never done it ...

Re: M151A2 Fuel Tank Vent Modification?

The Holley TM says the following....."The carburetor is vented through the float chamber to the air filter to provide for underwater operation." There should be a separate line from the Holley to the air cleaner, which in turn has an adapter for that connection. The adapter was installed on early ai...

Bottom row, second-from-right. It's a final production M151A1, 1968 delivery. So if your A1 came with an alternator, it could be from this pile.

Re: M151A2 suspension bushings - are NOS ok or not?

Dan.... are those A2 rear shocks DEFINITELY A2's? According to a recently-used pair I have, the extended dimension is 14.6 in. and the compressed dimension is 10.23 in. These are pretty close to those KYB Excel-G 345056 shocks which are supposedly matching replacements for the Monroe D8068 shocks th...

Re: M151A2 suspension bushings - are NOS ok or not?

Ken, he really only needs to take off the bottom since the top bolt is so hard to get to on them. He should be able to get pretty close measurements from the bottom mount to the top bold without taking the top off. Yes Rick....but if he struggles to remove that top bolt.... I can then fix him up wi...

Re: M151A2 suspension bushings - are NOS ok or not?

... One thing you will want to try to find and probably will not is rear shocks. They were unobtanium for the longest time and then all of sudden there were a ton of them and just as fast they were gone again. Someone posted not long ago from England, Ken I think it was, about a guy that found a com...

Re: M416 trailer in TEXAS

Hello Ken (Mutt Guru). The pictures are from the my 416 trailer. The stamped dog tag was mounted on the safety chain at mounting. I had never noticed. 6P8062. I found a picture of a 416 with similar number taken in Vietnam (according to author). If this number were in fact my trailer ID 6P8062.... ...
