Re: Diesel conversion anyone?

That is a Toyota 2C Diesel Engine. 2.0 mated to a transmission out of early rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla. The 2C engine is not hard to mate to the original gear box but the engine itself requires a lot of changes for example different facing oil pump, a custom made sump, an altered flywheel and i...

Re: What would you do if originality didn't matter?

Mods i would recommend retaining original setup: 1. Add busing in the diff mountings. A one inch thick bushing on all for points between the body and the diff makes a huge difference. Smooths out the ride and way less noise. 2. Mr.Recovery's carburetor mod. Most market carbs in the market are Chines...

Re: What would you do if originality didn't matter?

You wouldn't want to put the infamous Toyota 2L in anything except trash. The Toyota 2C and 3C are decent engines but i doubt they are available in abundance in North America. I put a diesel (Toyota 2C) in my Mutt back when i had it. It was the worst decision i ever made. The transmission and diffs ...

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?

Gujranwala it was.
I've seen a ton of MUTTs in Gujranwala and Kharian sector. Both are Corp HQs, hence they have Ordnance Depots. Both XXX Corp and I Corps unloaded a huge load of mutts from 2006-2011.

Re: Differential Modification Project

Good day Dan,

The RX-8 diffs are a good choice.
Are these out of a Automatic or a Manual car?

I'm keen to see how you do it and how it goes.

Re: The Stolen Car I bought from a dealer !!!!

My general rule for buying cars is 1. Take the license plate number and run it in the states excise and taxation public database. 2. Run that chassis number and license plate number through the police for any priors regarding the vehicle. 3. Match the license plate registered chassis number with the...

Re: M151A1 disc brake conversion

For the brakes, the only Toyota parts were the rear calipers. They were off a Daihatsu Mira. I did put a Toyota Diesel motor in it though. Not much had be altered. One just has to remove the entire drum brake system off the hub, fabricate a plate to hold the caliper, then just bolt everything togeth...

Re: M151A1 disc brake conversion

Disc brake conversion is not that hard to do but one has to shuffle quite a bit of things. http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt188/sherwan_88/FAV%20Build-%20Ground%20Up/17032010263.jpg http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt188/sherwan_88/FAV%20Build-%20Ground%20Up/17032010261.jpg http://i610.photobu...

Yep. The carbs are off a 0.8L midget car. Two should give it a good AFR.
There are not many carbys left in the market now. I can practically count the remaining models on one hand.
