Re: 1964 Kaiser for sale SOLD

Thanks fellows for all the help. After realizing the master cylinder was still.good I drove the M151 for 10 miles. I have never been emotional about a vehicle before but this jeep is just family. I marked the thread sold. I got to keep her. Thanks Gary

He told me this 20 years after the fact and I didn't buy the jeep from him. Why would he lie Rick?

Re: 1964 Kaiser for sale

I got to know the man who sold this m151 in the 70"s He sold around 50 he said. He said to start with he was allowed to place them in a jig and cut and reweld them on site at Ft Bragg. Later in the program of course they were cut in half and rewelded back at his shop. I had the most fun getting a fe...

Re: 1964 Kaiser for sale

That is why I took the picture to show the cut. I was talking about the 4 foot cut in the rear of the jeep as not being cut completely across the jeep.

1964 Kaiser for sale SOLD

After 20 plus years it is time to sell my M151. It has a partial cut in the passenger floorboard. It was painted and stenciled in 1995. New tires were added in 2011. The only rust is in the battery box. It still has the original oval floor drains. I did not drive it enough last year to keep the mast...

Re: Idiot can't find where to fill brake fluid

This reminds me 20 years ago when I first got my M151. I was tinkering with it and discovered that I had oil in my air breather Sheer panic until I called a Normandy D day jeep friend.

Re: Another starter problem

The end of the starter is supported by a brass bushing in the bell housing. Fil may be able to post a picture. Good luck.

Re: Another starter problem

Years ago when I first got my 1964 Kaiser the starter would make an awful noise. A older friend who actually landed in Normandy on D day told me the the bushing was wearing out In the flywheel He stated at some point in time the bushing or the flywheel would need to be replaced. 12 years and two sta...

Re: New canvas on my 1964 Kaiser

looks great. I also have a 64 Kaiser since 1990. Back in the day I would put a small propane heater in the passenger seat. I have been topless the last 15 years . I am sure vinyl has it benefits but canvas looks so good and I love that smell
