Looks like the $250 parts one went down to $150 and made its way to Orange. New owner price ... $500

Is that a fuel filter on the return line? Am I seeing that correctly?

No, that is a fuel filter on the supply line and it has a vapor return line when it should not have one. I am curious to know where they plumbed that into since the A1 does not have that fitting. They obviously did not know about those bolts on the firewall for the regulator either. Fording valve is not hooked up and appears to be halfway between open and closed.

Ah yes. I was thinking of my A2 fuel line when I looked at that.

Holley's were only used on the first 2-3 years. Basically the straights. I am pretty sure the Holley was long gone buy the A1.

Possible that this has an alternator, and the item next to the air cleaner on the fender wall is related to Xenon power supply or USAF FAC radios? Seems pretty heavy-duty.

That is a standard 25 amp voltage regulator. It is actually a later electronic version of the old breadbox which looked much heavier duty! The 100 amp regulator was mounted on the passenger side fenderwell and the big one for the spotlight 150 or 180 amp was in a box on the passenger side and cooled by engine coolant. The 60 amp alternator has an internal regulator.
