I hate Facebook with a passion and avoid it whenever I can but does that mean it is still for sale?

The link to the CRAIGSLIST advert for the NAVY MUTT was taken down:
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/ ... 15649.html
Asking price was a lot less than the FaceBook advert.
I think the location where it was at is a tourist based business, so probably had bills to pay.

I did buy the M151A2 that was in Southern CA.
I spotted it here:
http://www.warjeeps.com/mjs/sale21/ad038/ad038.html
And the owner / seller responded to my inquiries right away.
He was very easy to work with and I enjoyed talking to and then meeting him.
My friend Jeff and I drove out with his truck & double axle equipment trailer and brought it back to Colorado.

Haha, I love the pictures of the Navy 151 on Facebook. Asking 19k and not removing the drip pan under the engine for the picture ;)

The Cali 151 looks excellent. Telling from the paint runs underneath ,it was on a rotisserie, wonder how much sheet metal was replaced.

The previous owner sent pictures of the "Before" "During" and "Present"
He did not have the frame used to rotate the entire body, but did use blocks to get it at about a 45% angle.
The pictures showed the areas where the military had run it aground, mostly the trans brace, and that was cut out and new steel welded in.
One spot on the drives side fender, and each wheel well had a spot that was replaced, same location on both sides.
I really appreciate the communication from the seller, I have been in touch quite a bit with the "oh, did you do XXX, or replace XXX, and what fluid did you use in XXX"

cool, good to know that nothing was hidden. Seems like someone did a good job. I always look how the engine bay looks, very often the body is nice but the engine not so much. That tells something.

Thank you for posting the price the Navy M151A2 sold for.
I was just watching the auction on TV (rebroadcast in the evening)
The auction that caught my eye was a 1942 GPW with the M-100 Bantam trailer.
Looked like a nice clean restoration of the Jeep and trailer, hammered down at $17K.
That seemed like a good deal to me.
