Gilbert Swap meet

Unread post by rickf » September 2nd, 2021, 12:50 pm

I will be at the Gilbert swap meet selling some stuff. Going to have a bunch of 40mm ammo cans, an NOS head, some Holley carbs, Some radio brackets and antenna brackets. And whatever else I can find to throw in the trailer before I leave. Need to thin out the piles. I will be in spot R5 as it stands right now. May change at a later date but will post if it does. This is always a good show so if you are within driving distance I strongly suggest checking it out.

Find a Holley carb for a M151 in this condition for the same price and show it to me.

I installed one of Rick's Holly's on my A2. It was so nice, I installed it as is, just on a what the heck ,why not try it. No cleaning, no new gaskets ,just blew air through it to get all of the package material out and runs perfect. . I did re jet it after a couple of weeks . My A2 is a daily driver so it has been test run. If you ever thought about one do not pass this up. I've bought about 6 Holly's in the last 3 years and these are the best I've seen .

     My hands have gotten much softer since I have retired, and cleaner. But the main reason is the bad arthritis I have in my hands. It is hard to do a lot of tough work anymore. Golden years my arse! Nobody ever told me that gold rusts.

Few more things I am bringing. I will add to the list as I go along. The weather is going to determine how much I bring to some extent. If they are predicting rain I am not going to go overboard because it will all be stuck in the trailer for the most part if it is raining.
I have a bunch of differentials, if someone needs one let me know and I will check them out. Otherwise I am not wrestling them into the truck.

2 A2 emissions gas tanks in perfect condition
2 A2 restored grills W/headlight buckets
1 NOS light duty head (spoken for pending payment)
NOS and used wheel hubs, I believe these are all A1, I will check by the time I get there.
Used Axles.

Something else I came across in my storage unit. Graphic training aid playing cards. I have aircraft recognition cards and Soviet World Recognition Common Military Terms.
The Soviet cards are really interesting if you are interested in the Russian language.

Army Jeep Parts is not going? Wow, that is a first. I wouldn't buy from those companies anyway, too expensive. Have you looked at Summit racing? They usually have the best prices and free shipping.
