Early push button style brake handle

Unread post by Refit1701 » September 27th, 2021, 9:36 am

I'm looking for the early push button style brake handle for my 62 Ford. Also an early spare tire plate that accepts the reflector.

Thanks

Early push buttons appear occasionally. I got mine by offering $ to a gentleman who was selling a whole power pack on craigslist and saw it in the pictures. The early spare retainer I was lucky enough to still have attached but they seem extremely rare. The nut is even more so...

Rick, didn't you have an early 151 that you got from TJ?

Pretty sure that is an A1 but there is no powerpak in it. Or much of anything else. It is sold, I just need to get it delivered. I have a push button brake here somewhere but I am pretty sure I determined it was not from a 151.

I'm not sure a 62 would have that early spare tire plate. I was thinking of one that has the reflector assembly mounted on it instead of a sticker.

This later handle is the one you want in trade for the early pushbutton unit?

Thanks to fergrn37 for swapping his early handle for a late one!

I had one years ago, but replaced it with the newer version, another learning the hard way.
