Wtb antenna kit

Unread post by Maine Mutt » August 15th, 2014, 12:25 am

Hi everyone, looking to see if anyone has the corner mounting antenna kit for sale. Looking for the antenna whip too. Thanks.

EDIT

I have a mount, now just looking for the extender and a base. Whip is also on the list. Thanks!

Found one on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Military-Truck- ... 20e9b48b41

little pricey.

Might give tbanks a pm. He has/had a lot of commo gear.

If you don't already have them. you'll also need the mounting shelf, mount and cables.

I'd be fairly cautious of Delawarelister on ebay. Many here know him as do I, but years ago I bought an electric fuel pump from him when he went by KCGonzo and it was missing parts. Promise as he might to make it right, he never did. Now he has an employee doing his ebay listings and all complaints fall on deaf ears. With prices like the one above, I'd save my funds for a show when you can pick up a used one for $25-$35, or at least watch ebay for a much better price than offered in the above link. We all know I have a low tolerance for aggravation, but I have him blocked from my M151 searches on ebay as I do with oti151 from Italy. I've never had a problem dealing with tbanks Just my 2 cents.

I would check with Jeff at Frontline Military Vehicles, flmv.net. I got one from him awhile back.

Does it really cost $42.95 to ship that thing?

I see it was expedited shipping, but dang, that's a lot of added cost for nothing there... LOL.

His neutral and Negative feedback seem to kind of indicate that he don't give a sh*&%^%#, so I wouldn't wanna be trying to get nuthin from him.

I also had a very bad experience with KCGonzo & Delawarelister, couple hundred $$ of product never delivered and tried for a year to get it resolved to no avail. It was a big surprise to me as I had dealt with Gonzo in the past with good experience. Never said anything about it until now, seemed like the time. Buyer Beware......

Hillbilly, You are quick to point out negative feedback but did you research what it said? 5 negatives in a year of 2000 sales. That is 1/4% Now read the feedbacks, two were the same thing and that person had received a refund for apparently ordering a wrong part. That is not a negative in my eyes. That brings it down to 3. And those are questionable.
Several people on here know that I am a personal friend of KC Gonzo but I will tell you that this has nothing to do with that. If you are going to slander a company or E-bay seller, and that goes for ANY seller, research the facts before you do so. We all know that as far as feed back goes there are people that give give bad bad feedback just to see themselves in print or to make others miserable. I have gotten tons of it on forums.

Compared to other sellers he is a bit pricier than the few others I've come across with various styles of "stores". I was just hoping for a "backyard special" for cheap. Don't we all want cheap parts once in a while?

Agreed, Not standing up for his prices or practices, just wanted to clear up the bit about coming down on the dealers like that. If it continued I would have deleted the posts. If you had a personal deal go bad then that is one thing but please do not bad mouth them otherwise. Saying something like "hey, I hear their prices are kind of high" or " I hear their delivery is really slow" is fine. That is normal information but if it turns malicious I will step in.

No worries here. I just want that antenna kit cheaper than anyone apparently is selling them for. I'll be sure to delete this post when I get one, until then hit me up if you have one.

The Gilbert Pa. show is coming up third week of Sept. I think it is. a LOT of radio gear at that show. Prices are usually good because it is the end of the year.

I'm way up here in Maine. If anyone goes could they pass on a contact from someone there that could sell one to me up here? Just throwing that lawn dart randomly up in the air.

I agree with Rick on the Gilbert show for radio equipment. Never get too anxious in this hobby. You'll pay too much and then spot something just as good at a fraction of the price. Took me over a year to get a corner mount on my A2, and I knew I wanted one before I even bought the jeep.
