Well with that weather report, we will probably go to the event with top off. If hubby lets me drive then it will DEF be top off. (they just look so much better topless) If hubby drives who knows how he will want to drive in. We are going to try to make it for Sat, but it's not looking good right now. Our teen babysitter is a whole 15 1/2 on that day. That is when she's allowed to take her driving test to get temps, and if you know teens, you know that kind of stuff just can't wait for a whole 2 more days. So we are probably only going to be able to make it on Friday, but we shall see.

Can't wait to see the 'guys', don't worry Moose, plenty of pics will be taken, and I'll even bring my video camera and take some video for ya. ;)

Hey Chris,
I'll bet we can't make 50 vehicles without it counted as a vehicle. State of Ohio counts it as a vehicle, mine has Historical Vehicle plates on it! I bet you even get a shirt for it!

From the looks of it, we may have more M151's present at the first annual Mid-Ohio rally, than the Mansfield, Ohio rally had vehicles total for it's first year.

PS, if TX is showin up with the top down, I'm takin my camera too!

TX will not be going TOP DOWN, "MY" will be. ;)

Yes "My" is what she has been dubbed, it really does fit her for right now. Because when I speak of her, It sounds something like this... "When I get some cash, I'd like to do blahblahblah with my truck." It sounds the same when it comes out of the hubby's mouth too. Even though we both agreed, that when he gets the A2 paid for and running daily, that the A1 is MINE and the A2 His. He still says "My" when he talks of MY A1, but soon that will not happen cuz he'll have something else to drool over and drive, then she'll be all MINE, and I can change her name to something more becoming. ;)

Hey Moose,

Naw I'm still goin, just not with all that telephoto camera gear I was planing to take. Still something strangely attractive about an M151 with out a top on it. Does that make me a jeepophile?

Hey Bob,
We'll all be lookin for you. Guess Chris will be the guy with the M416 hitched to a pickup. I'll be there hawaiian shirt and all, and I already know K8icu and ohiomutt, I think we'll all hook up fairly quickly, as we all gravitate to the M151's. See ya tomorrow Bob!

Hey ohiomutt,

Just because were having one Friday nite, dosen't mean
Bob's original Saturday nite event is canceled. We can put
up with each other here day after day, why not another
nite there? If nothin else, I'll buy you one Saturday nite at
the local pub before we hit the road. I could use one before
that long trip home. Please remember I am without trailer.

Hey TX......for 22 years she was called "baby". Just thought you'de like to know.

I hope you make it Sat so I can see the ol girl and give her a pat... :)
I have to run my business on Friday and my son-in-law to be has to work also.

If you see someone sitting in YOUR jeep TX with a far off look in his eye you'll know it's me... :)
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....

We will try to make it Sat, but it's not looking good right now. :?

"Baby" is a good name, but "My" is what she's going by now. ;) You probably wouldn't know her right now. Seems the 'daily' trips to and from work, with the hubby, are pushing some issues that she may not have had on an occasional use schedule.

Her antenna pole broke. (split the fiberglass at the joint and pretty much is not able to be used no matter how much 100-mile-an-hour tape we stick on it)
The Light Pole sheared right off the base it was screwed into. (He says he came to a stop sign and the light & bar kept going down the road)
Someone hit the rear passenger fender. (not sure how that happened, but there is a def a mark where they hit it, and whatever force was used made a crack there, and in one more spot on the fender in the bondo section)

No worries though, we'll get another antenna pole. The light bar is getting re-threaded next week and put all back together (the light was not damaged). The body will get new replacement fenders & panels where needed, when we order the panels & fenders for the one sitting in the backyard.

So even though she doesn't look like she did when you dropped her off, she will be cared for, and all issues will be dealt with accordingly.

She will be properly PMCS'd before we take off for the event. We have to wait for hubby's mom to get here to pick up the kids for the day (free baby sitting), but we should be there by noon at the latest.
