My 62 Ford truck still making limited progress. Any idea what someone would have attached to the inside corners of the rear fenders? They just filled them with weld and bondo after hammering the edge.

Possibly the support bracket for MT-1029/VRC radio mount.

That seems possible. I'm repairing it, hopefully without needing complete fender tops.

Re: What was mounted on the corner of the rear fenders?
That is going to be about impossible to repair without replacing a section of panel on both sides. The part that folds over has been ground completely through on one side and the both sides show a lot of rust under the panel. You cannot weld to rust. You are going to have to cut back to good metal and replace that section. You are in the flat section so you should not need entire tops although that would make the job a lot easier and faster. You can make a new corner with a shrinker/stretcher tool. from Eastwood or Harbor Freight. Or you could do it old school with a shrinking dolly and hammer, I prefer the new way to the old.

It'll be a job for sure. I hate to buy a set of fender tops as the remainder looks ok. Actually, I could cut those sections from one of the three other bodies I have outside.

I wouldn't mind if you bought a set of fender tops! Let me know if you need any parts.

I am going to be placing an order once I get the rear panel and crossmember I got from you installed! I'm on a budget so trying to keep the spending down.
