I believe the original Army prototypes were the XM408's and later on some enterprising individuals made some of their own from surplus half cuts. I think I remember reading maybe TNJ Murray may have made some. Try a search on this site or google images for the XM408 for other examples.

Murray made the Stumpjumpers but that one there looks to be a home made one made from an Encore body. Got to love the welded plumbing pipe roll cage.

Any full view of the entire Body ? I can only see four tires in the photo.

5th pic down is a shot of the whole side of the vehicle, all 6 tires.

I'd suggest converting it back to the military electrical system. That would allow you to use the manuals and ask for help here.

I see the encore body in it now by comparing with other pics, someone did a crap job of taking care of it if the body is just from the 90s.cant tell anywhere having weld marks as if it started as a 4x4. Looks like uncut Solid body extending over all 6wheels.
Regarding military electrical system, I assume you mean the bypassed fuel pump with the added 12 volt electric one. Not sure why previous owner did that but def would like to put it back to the original fuel pump. Starter cranks with 2x12v batteries, now need to figure out how to get fuel system fixed up.

Nice looking tires. Not too much, not too little. Gonna be a fun project!

Put a mechanical fuel pump on the engine. Rick or one of the other guys can probably tell you which civilian model will work. You have an A2 windshield so you don't need a vacuumed pump if that’s what's on there.

Cool project, I have seen a few in the past, probably made by someone like Encore, Titan or Alley Cat, the fuel pump should be an Airtex 60577, Amazon had them for $20. As Salt said, go back to original wire harness, a NOS one sells for $150, most of the 24v stuff is still available at reasonable prices, let's get that monster going. I just rebuilt a 4 wheel version of one a lot like yours, the purist will frown on them but I bought one and really like it, here's a link to the thread, http://g838.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=9748.
