Yeah I went to check out the convoy in East Palestine Ohio when it came through. Two M151s were banged up pretty good. One the grill and rad were pushed into the engine. I really expected more vehicles and younger people like my self to be a part of the convoy. I'm all about a meet for the M151. Distance would be an issue till the kids get older. Michigan isn't too far for me! However we should promote this and try to get the attention of the younger people. Not everyone will be able to make it, this is certain however it would still bring enthusiast's together. Maybe do regional meets West, Central, and East coast and one national? I've seen a lot of hobbies starting to fade away because the exposure for the younger generations to spark interest doesn't seem to be there. Go for it! I can try to help out as much as I can.

Any other M151 owners near Youngstown Ohio?

You have to remember that the MVPA convoy takes a month and a substantial outlay of money. That is why you see a lot of older retired people there. They do not have to go to a job and most are fairly well set financially so they can take a month long trip across the country. AND be able to get themselves and their vehicles back. I think the ralleys that are being talked about as far as the M-151 are local to the area type of deals. At least that is the impression I get.

Being such a Large Country, I think it needs to be in the center of the Country. St.Louis, Kansas City, Maybe Branson Mo. ?

I agree that it should be Central for a national meet.aybe a fair ground if there is enough of us.

Very true Rick. I am a lineman on a local grid and overtime is nuts, plus the kids keep me busy haha.

That has nothing to do with the fact that you live right there does it? That is a 15 hour drive for me! I would not be in much of a mood for more driving after that. But then again I am old and broken down so you younger guys hash it out.

You can HAVE them, just doing anything with them is the problem. And the ones I can have are severely limited!

At Branson they do this kind of thing all the time, especially Veterans reunions and gatherings........contact the Visitor Bureau for details and they will supply the location site available, motels, restaurants, etc.....just a thought for OZ in Kansas . Seabee
