Re: New Tires
I know we should use 7.00 X 16. Not 6.00 x 16. What about 7.50 x 16 ??

Re: New Tires
7.50's will rub on the right terrain, best deal I've seen on a good tire for a set of 4 is from Summit Racing, $60 rebate until 10/31 plus $20 discount plus free shipping.

Re: New Tires
You are looking at NDT's when you should be looking at NDCC's. It is not a big deal with an A2 but you have an early style with swing arm suspension and the NDT's will be riding right on the edge of the tire. I have seen it done but since you are buying new tires you might as well get the right ones. Or go aftermarket radials.

Re: New Tires
If you go through Summit Racing, split your order in two and you will get $20 bucks off each order and the $60 rebate. I contacted Coker about the rebate and all they care about is that you buy 4. It doesn't matter if they are purchased all at the same time or as two separate purchases as long as they are bought within the time frame specified in the rebate. So you'd essentially save $40 bucks over all and still qualify for the rebate.
Re: New Tires
One had a square edge on the tread, the other had a rounded edge, I think that is how it goes. The NDCC came about after WW2, (rounded edge)?

Re: New Tires
Here's what the difference looks like:-
The one on the left is an NDCC, the one on the right is an NDT.
There's also a nice-looking replacement tyre with a civilian pattern tread made by Hancook.....see here:-

ps.... somebody tell the owner he doesn't have a Kaiser.... It's a Ford A1.

Re: New Tires
Simply put, think of NDT (non directional tire) having a tread pattern with square shoulders when viewed in cross section. Whereas, NDCC (non directional cross country tire) as having a tread pattern with round shoulder when viewed in cross section.
IMHO, NDTs are kind of a failed experiment as compared to NDCCs, when it came to tread pattern. Might give you a little bit more bite on soft terrain but elsewhere they don't help much.
Cheers,
TJ
