Brake Cylinders

Unread post by m270mlrs2 » March 18th, 2020, 8:17 am

Good morning I am getting ready to have my brake system checked and the steel lines redone and my question is should I use new manufactured brake cylinders or NOS brake cylinders. I would rather use the NOS original ones since they were specifically made for the vehicle but any other input would be helpful. I have the M115a2 with the 2 different sized cylinders. Thanks again

Have you considered rebuilding your old brake cylinders?
You can do it with the cylinders mounted on the plate.
You will need 2 3/4" and 2 1" kits, a drill and a brake hone.
The kits contain 2 new rubbers, 2 pistons, and a spring.
Easy to do and there are plenty of videos if you have never done it before.
