If I suspect it is a problem in the distributor I don't even play with it, I have another points type distributor already marked for proper timing all set up. Pull the plug wires off of the bad one, swap in the new one, put wires on and gone. Diagnose the bad one at camp.

Sounds like a interesting trip even though there was labor involved, a lot of things on these jeeps can be repaired in the field. I would never have a diff in my spare parts kit, pretty neat they will work in either location.

Sunday pick-up of my jeep.

I have moved but kept my storage place. It’s now a 60 miles drive so I change the vehicle I want to drive only so often. Today put the 911 in storage and pulled the 151 out.

Relaxed drive thru rural Bavaria, with the only short startling moment when the fire extinguisher went off. Somehow the security pin dropped out and something hit the handle. Too bad as it is half empty now :(.

They are simply not aligned as they should be, did not know better back then, now I am used to it.

short story of my wipers. They were still out of work. I checked everything from motor, cabels, connectors....
No action. Then during my trip rain started, I tried wipers - and they worked!! Belive or not it works ONLY IF
RAIN COME. Well, there should be a RAIN SENSOR, but where?

Andrew, There may actually be a reason for your wipers working in the rain. The rain wets the windshield hinges and/or gasket and could possibly make a bad connection hook up. Try hooking a ground wire from the windshield to the body somewhere.
