Old style slave cable end dissasembly?

I bought two old style (not NATO) slave cable ends at the recent swap meet. I'm trying to take them apart to replace the cable which someone thoughtfully cut off of them.
Does anyone know how they come apart? (these are the old two pin units)

Does this help? The copper wire end connector was fabricated from copper pipe and a copper reducer coupling. I took one slave cable connector apart using my bench vice and a short pipe section to force the rubber compression bushing out of the back of the metal housing. Lubrication helps significantly.
