Interesting, I would have to wonder if that number was recycled? I can't picture the valving in a steering damper to anywhere even close to what is needed for a rear shock absorber.

they are the front shocks from a h1 humvee

George, You are mis interpreting the Manufacturer Code. This is not a part number. It is referred to as a CAGE ( Commercial and Government entity) Code. The CAGE Code identifies Contractors/Suppliers and/or Government Facilities.

My bad George!! I saw the steering reference and I immediately thought steering damper. If the lengths and holes are right they should work except they might be valved pretty heavy. Remember the gamma goat shocks that were being used. But from what Dave is saying, and I agree, the part number is not correct. What I do see that is interesting is that in the procurement graph it shows a large request for 200 pieces going to the Netherlands in 2014. Isn't that the same time all those A2 shocks flooded the market? Did Reomie make that large purchase?
