is there a decal at all? I am only aware that the late emission-style gas tanks have a decal

Fuel Tank Decals.png
The only ones I found, don't know how to make them bigger I would think in 1966 they didn't make them

There never was a decal for the pre-emission controls tank. Ive only seen one 'unofficial' stencil on a tank, which said NO STEP and IIRC this had been added by a National Guard unit.

Probably somebody who just can't get enough stickers and decals! I researched everywhere I could think of and don't see anything for a pre-emission gas tank

That is going to be under the seat where you would not be able to see it. May have been a price sticker for the last person that sold it, judging from the two colors of paint this was not an original tank.

The decal is the same material as the good driver decal. that's why i thought it would have been an original warning decal, but it looks like a add on from the last owner. as for the two colors someone painted the entire truck in Camo with a paint brush. looked like crap.

That was how they painted them in the military if it was done outside of the organizational maintenance area. I believe the camo part was always brushed, the overlapping and sloppy look was part of the camo. Sharp lines stand out.
