Welcome to the 838. There are several versions of that conversion out there. I have copies of the original on my computer I can get to you but I am just getting ready to go out and get some yard clearing done while it is still semi cool out. I will get back to you this afternoon.

Sorry, I am just getting in. Loader broke and I have been working on that all day. I thought someone else may have chimed in by now but guess not. I am going to get something to eat, shower and hit the sack. I will dig those files out tomorrow and post them on this thread if no one else does first.

You'd remove the metal mesh/oil from the housing, install in its place a K&N E996 air filter or a fram CA 8039 air filter.

M151 air cleaner Modification.docx

Here is the original conversion as done by Ron Rietfors from Hawaii.
Note, You can also use a stock replacement paper air filter for the same vehicle from 1196 to 2001 with the 5.0 engine. Much cheaper and works just as well if not better.

You are running a Mac if I remember correctly, Do you have a program that will open Microsoft Word files? I am pretty sure there is a Mac file that does that but I would have to fire up my Mac and I need to get out of here and get some stuff done before it gets hot out. I will check later.

If you don't own MS Word for the Mac OS, Google docs will open MS word files.
